CALLED TO SERVE
Dear Missionary Partners,
Greetings in the Mighty Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
What a joy to be able to communicate all the things that the Lord continues to do in Cambodia again. It is a privilege to be an instrument to carry His glory and power and announcing to the people the love and mercy of God almighty.
COVID19 infections are decreasing in Cam bodia, with 81 new infections reported on average each day. There have been 135,344 infections and 3,054 coronavirus related deaths reported in the country since the pandemic began. The school, churches, and all establishment are now open. We can visit the people in villages and conduct face to face online classes in our school ministries.
There are some changes and transition happening in my 3 years in Cambodia. I moved from Phnom Penh to Khampong Thom province. I am so blessed that God always open privil eges and opportunities for me to serve the Cambodians.
Last February 23, I got infected with corona virus but God is so great and faithful. He is always taking care of me and restored me to health. I only had mild symptoms. I am so thankful also that God sent many people who helped me during my quarantine time. I never starved but even in the midst of these challenges, God used it so I can extend help to those who are infected like me by sharing food that I received. Glory to God! I cannot overcome all the se without the grace of God and your prayers. Thank you, faithful partners!
God has given me a privilege to visit the church of Missionary Randy Gorosin in Phnom Penh. I was given the opportunities to help in their kids ministry, encourage the workers there by sharing the Word of God, and praying for them and their ministry. It wa s a very joyful and encouraging experience seeing Cambodian leaders ministering to their own people. They do three services every Sunday and conduct music classes too. I am so impressed by what God is doing in their ministry.
Last Sunday, we were able to come back in our churches here in Khmpong Thom and gather together again. People were so excited and I saw how they miss having a face to face church service. There were almost 50 children and some adults in the church that I visited in Crosang Village. We are still inviting people to come and join in our service.
I am excited to tell you about the new task that God and my senior missionaries entrusted me. Every morning (5:00 am) I am leading the Quiet Time with the 13 students in Slakaet Church. I used the pattern that I learned while I was in my missionary training. It is my joy to see these young people growing in God’s word.
Everyday, I do my school ministry in MTIS. I do three classes from morning to evening. All the teacher in this school are miss ionaries and all of us have only one goal and that is to share Jesus thru teaching English. The students here know how to memorize the bible verses and how to pray. We share Jesus thru bible stories and songs. God is really amazing!
Twice a month, I am given a task to share God’s word to the Slakaet trainees . Praying that I can speak Khmer more so I can preach God’s word without interpreter. But praise God for giving me a chance to disciple the trainees to become a committed follower of Christ.
- Please pray that the chief village in our ministry on Saturday will allow us to gather.
- Please pray for MTIS School that God will send more students so we that many students can hear the word of God.
- Please pray for me and my ministry that God will use me mightily and effectively for God’s glory.
